SWAP

What: Any gear
related to paddlesports
When: May 15 – 10:00 AM ‘til 3:00 PM
Where: Muskoseepi Park Pavillion
Gear Drop-off: Friday May 14th, - 6:00 ‘til 9:00 PM at WWK
clubhouse (south of Centre 2000)
Price your items in advance of drop-off, 10% of purchase price will be
deducted and donated to Wapiti Whitewater Kayakers.
Come by even if don’t have gear to buy or sell,
you’re invited to come socialize, bring pictures and
stories. Meet other club members, and like-minded people with
a passion for paddling.
You’re invited to get your club membership, have a look at
our summer schedule, and make plans for some paddling adventures.

Peace
Country Radical
Film
Contest

Wapiti Whitewater
Kayakers is pleased to announce the inaugural Peace Country Radical
Film competition.
We invite local filmmakers to submit film or video of
“radical” or daring sports. The films can be of any
subject matter and may feature self-propelled or motorized sports.
Deadline for submissions is September 15, 2010, with the winning films
to be presented in conjunction with Wapiti Whitewater Kayakers hosting
of the Radical Reels Film World Tour, a presentation of the Banff
Centre, on October 15, 2010. The top three films will be showcased and
be eligible for prizes.
Films are to be no longer than 15 minutes, and will be adjudicated
based on originality, adrenaline meter, portrayal of sports in the
Peace Country, and composition.

LEARN A NEW SPORT!

Wapiti Whitewater Kayakers welcomes new members on a
regular basis, so get involved with a great group of people in a non
threating, safe, friendly environment! We welcome families, kids, and
those just looking for an alternative to conventional exercise. We
offer drop in sessions prior to club membership to help attract new
members to our club. Join our online

NEW AQUATICS MULTIPLEX
|
Ground has broken for the NEW Grande Prairie Aquatics
& Wellness Multiplex, which will host a 54 metre, Olympic sized
swimming pool with a smaller 25 metre warm water pool to the side. The
complex will also host Alberta's first "Flow
Rider", and Adventure River. Wapiti Whitewater Kayakers are looking
forward to working with the City of Grande Prairie in establishing
relations for the privilege of using this state of the art facility for
kayaking. Join the

on the upcoming Aquatics & Wellness Multiplex due to open in
2011!
